Countries with transition minerals like lithium are being strategic amid changing demand. There is still a lot unknown about the proposal to nationalise (some?) of Chile's lithium resources, but the fears seem a bit overstated.

Just going off this video that’s either a very small warhead or low grade explosive (not military HE).
It’s also v precisely hitting a symbolic flagpole a v long way from the Ukr border, so if it were Ukrainian it’s incongruously poorly aimed and armed to cause any actual damage.

Few will believe this was an assassination attempt. Whatever it was, it’s humiliating for Russian security services and will likely be used as a pretext.

Russia says Ukraine tried to assassinate Vladimir Putin overnight in a drone attack on the Kremlin. Putin was unharmed and is working as normal.
It's not clear when or whether this happened, but Telegram channels are posting what looks like anti-aircraft fire over the Kremlin.

A lot of pushback to my earlier tweet on the trajectory of 🇪🇺🇹🇷 relations if the opposition wins on 14/28 May. But the assumption that an opposition win would result in a substantial reboot & jump forward in relations is naive - & not how many on EU side see it 1/
