There's a good way to make certain I'll try hard to not professionally interact with a company: Cold calling me (yes, on the phone).

And no, I have no idea where they got my number from.
That was my guess too. But I've not not attended in a few years. I'm doubtful that a conference attendance of years ago, could be construed as permission to call me despite being on the do not call registry.
