hey @AndresFreundTec - I'm stuck getting PostGIS working with PG11 on Ubuntu Trusty. I've got a trace and I have no suspecions except that a gcc-built GEOS produces exception clang-built postgis can't catch. Can it be because of clang-3.9? Locally it's ok. https://github.com/postgis/postgis/pull/262#issuecomment-398558656 …
Hm, is JIT involved here, or is there another reason you're specifically highlighting me? You should build postgres with debugging symbols / install them.

Oh, sorry if you're the wrong person to ask - I see that PGDG build switched from gcc to clang for 11, I correlated that change with JITing, and JITing with you. Installed debug symbols, it gave more googleable keywords which brought https://www.mail-archive.com/llvm-bugs@lists.llvm.org/msg16711.html …

I don't think PGDG debian[ based] packages have switched to clang? Just checked the sources, and it's still the system default, which is gcc. FWIW, that backtrace doesn't have any trace of JITing. You could trivially test by just configuring jit=off before running the tests.
