This raises a question: If an all-Republican gov’t can’t restrict legal abortion, is this the end of the road for the cause legislatively? The last all-GOP gov’t under Bush succeeded at restricting late-term abortion (which SCOTUS upheld).

This doesn't appear to have been an all that serious effort, or am I misjudging that? My impression is that they're happy to have a vote against abortion on the books, and that the rest isn't that important.
