I'm a pro-immigration grandson of four legal immigrants from the turn of the 19th century. But illegal immigrants are called "dreamers" or merely "undocumented," the inherent disrespect for the basic notions of sovereign borders and the rule of law infuriates even me.
You're making up arguments I've not made. How on earth does advocating for a pathway to legal residency for people coming to the US as kids, under significant conditions, equate to never deporting people?

For all the derision he's gotten from the right, the amount of deportations under the oh so immigrant friendly Obama, increased. Not sure the balance was entirely right, but you can totally be for pathways towards legal immigration without taking the position of "never deport".
