I agree. Only mitigating reason seems to be that the non-disclosure of his wife's position in the WH counsel's office was only disclosed after the committee vote IIIRC?

I honestly don't think that's a huge deal since he'll be in Alabama (not much White House Counsel involvement in cases there). much more concerned by his blogging and utter lack of experience

Well, she could've been relevant in his selection etc and, while not disqualifying, that certainly seems good to know. Non-disclosure certainly is further evidence of not being honest. Just to be clear: I completely agree that he shouldn't have been OKed by the committee.
