Very much agreed. I've had jobs where the difficulty was undocumented spaghettiness (!CS), and now it's a lot more algorithms heavy.

Leaving stupid interview culture aside, I think a big problem w/ hiring is that a lot of hiring is done with way to general goals.

Means finding people that get stuff done in sustainable (i.e multiple people, docs, communicating w stakeholders, …) manner.

That *can* include very CSy people. Can include full-stack generalists. Can include the super narrowly focused people.
