In fact, most conservatives oppose national IDs for a number of reasons. But still use other country's ID cards as proof voter ID is fine.

The amount of effort to get an ID for an election in most other countries isn't comparable either. Be it state or non state wide.

My German ID is valid for 10 years, independent of whether I move, costs 28EUR, 0 if low income. And GER's bureaucracy is famously large.

If necessary I can get an emergency ID within hours. So not comparable to US ID requirements.

Yes? But the point is the explain why "but in other countries ID requirements are unproblematic" statements aren't meaningful.
