3/ has a big weakness: If that is the point of wearing masks, doesn't it likely give the police probable cause to arrest anyone wearing one?

In Germany it's forbidden to protest wearing masks etc. Aimed at "radicals". But it ends up deterring a lot of people, and triggrs violence.

Even if legally viable, and justifiable agnst more extreme antifa outgrowths, I'm v. doubtful it's good policy.
