The population density of the US is not particularly high. Not even counting the big cities. NYC: 28k / square mile, Paris: 53k, Barcelona: 41k, Berlin 10k, Istanbul: 15k. Countrywide: US 87/sq mi, Europe as whole: 188, Germany: 600, UK 710.
