I think the phenomenon is broader than that. Plenty of lefties are cheering for Mueller and FBI at this point. Many of them railing just months ago against racial profiling and surveillance

IDK, people can hold multiple ideas in their head at the same time. You can be of the opinion that the FBI, and LE in general, has systemic issues. And at the same time think fundamentally delegitimizing LE & courts is dangerous.

That not pursuing complicated white collar crimes widely / aggressively enough has had bad consequences, but that everyday policing has racial / classist undertones (at best).

And in this case, a lot of the leeway Trump et al have gotten in front of the law over the years, seem more like *embodiments* of broader LE issues (earlier non-prosecution of Manafort, hello?). So it seems far from insane that people critical of LE are happy about it.
