UK JVCI: “There is very good immunological and vaccine effectiveness evidence that the longer you leave that second dose the better for Pfizer and eight weeks seems to be a reasonable compromise.” US did three weeks. CDC said six weeks okay but I know people asked & got refused.https://twitter.com/HugoGye/status/1417051348336529409 …

I mean, 3 weeks after that first dose, you *won't die*. Which is doing a lot of work here. That first dose is actually pretty good. The second dose just sends you from ~60 to high-80s "Won't give it to the cancer patient you live with".

True, while I also don't know the exact date. The recommendation was 3-6 weeks but rather early on, they stretched it to the maximum 6 to have more first doses (while they also said it was due to new effectiveness results on the interval).https://www.deutschlandfunk.de/biontech-impfstoff-der-zeitliche-abstand-zwischen-erster.676.de.html?dram:article_id=490352 …

They recently changed the recommendation to 3-6 weeks, as soon as vaccines became more available and delta variant data from the UK showed need for 2 shots.pic.twitter.com/2NxfBhXlNC
