    Now that institutions have issued their statements, the real work has to start. Now.

    1.Terminate Glenn DeCaire's contract 2.Cease the police Constable program at McMaster. Black and Indigenous students have experienced violence on campus 3.Join other Universities that are cutting ties with police departments.

    A model of care out of academia that I hope is contagious and will ripple. CJC is halting operations "to deal with urgent matters of care for others."

    In light of extraordinary circumstances, the CJC will temporarily halt editorial operations (processing current submissions, peer review) to deal with urgent matters of care for others. Journal content is all still online. We will return to normal operations as soon as feasible.

    Reach out to people in your community. Anyone who cancels their appointments w/ hairstylists, housekeepers, dog walkers, gardeners, contract workers, should still pay for their time.

    Many of us with a regular paycheck might have a little extra money in our pocket b/c we are not going to restaurants, concerts, events, museums, movies, etc., consider giving some of that $ to your peeps who are losing income--or to organizations you trust.
