Hey that was fun today...I loved every km of today’s stage.....Can we please go to the Pyrenees already now and skip that stage tomorrow?
Whoever designed today’s stage should try to ride with 180 riders on a twisty 5m wide road next to each other and pushing Wachbootes to the limits. Of course we riders make the race at the end but the riders also ask for an earlier time taking 5 km to go which was refused
Best support post surgery... Dr took good care about me and replaced everything what needed to get replaced. Thanks to the team. Now I just have to be patient to let everything heal.

A clear example of unfair behavior…n my opinion there should be a rule not to have the last two sprints counting as it was a clear assault from Lampaert to take out Wellens for the sprints.

My opinion after today. is the strongest rider with the highest pain level . We are proud to be able to contest 4 a while!
What a nice parcour it is…strange feeling to look at the stages knowing that I won’t be there anymore…ok I confess I am also happy that I won’t be there during the hilly days

During 15 years as a pro cyclist I never did a day like today .51.2km/h during 165 km.... I made the maximum to stay at the front of the race, just the last echelon I missed🙈😏...all the best to and after they crashed and had to stop

It is getting ridiculous rules are rules but these things have to be changed. Riders are dedicating all winter to prepare the classics and this situation was clear not necessary to put a rider out of a race

1. I am really suprised how quite it is between the riders in the bunch about the first decent in stage 4. This was disrespectful towards all riders from the Organisation. Risking the health just to reach the end of the downhill-result: 2 potential GC contenders out.
Unfortunately not the way I wanted to finish my . 2 crashes and the last one 4 km from the finish let our amazing @Lotto_Soudal teamwork not getting the result we worked for-now off to surgery for my broken collarbone. #illbeback

where is the point to let riders of a World Tour team, racing against U23 elite riders? You are destroying your own U23 class system and riders who are following a federation system aren’t even at the start line because the pro riders -23 years are taking there spots

It took a few days but we could finally win a stage together with . Very happy to start up the season 2019 with an early win....
The last mountain stage is behind us and the last day in Paris to come. It has been a different experience to do the Tour this year but with and a Top 10 on GC with it was a quite successful thanks to all the fans on the side of the road.
So horrible to see that a stupid crash can make a full preparation/dedication for a goal turn into pain... words can't describe...

What an outstanding performance from today … surviving the last climbs… chasing …rest a bit and doing that sprint with 300m to go…hopefully he can start tomorrow and continue to fight for the points jersey.
