Last night, on E. 136th St. by Brook, the NYPD brutally attacked #FTP4.
Over 100 cops enclosed the march at ~ 7:55 PM.
At 8:10 PM, cops pushed into the crowd and packed us into an increasingly tight space.

2:10 - many passerbys joined march and got caught when cops boxed us in. Other cops had told some younger marchers that they could leave. They later get arrested.

I continue filming as I wait on line to get arrested. A voice in my head is telling me to look for escape routes and use my skinny Eritrean legs for good for once. I obviously don’t do this...there are also cops everywhere, not to mention a helicopter.

Hundreds of protesters are cuffed and herded to the center of E. 136th St.
It’s a surreal scene: dozens of people from neighborhood are outside breaking curfew watching us be arrested for breaking a curfew that we missed because we were trapped by NYPD.

I’m put in cuffs around 8:27 PM. I, and hundreds of others, are transferred to Queens Criminal Court, where we wait outside in the rain for hours on a slow-moving Line.
At maybe 4 AM, some of us are transferred to Brooklyn. I end up being released at 3PM.
