Perennial philosophy seems so monumentally stupid to me these days

I'm more attracted to a modified version of theistic pluralism.

I'm still working it out but my problems with perennialism is that it puts a heavy emphasis on the supposed 'esoteric core' of religions & alleges bridges between the ancient faiths. And a lot of the time this connection seems either tenuous or kinda who cares-y.

I don't think when you get to the pearly gates Shiva will be asking you, "Were you a monist or a dualist? A platonist or nominalist?" My theistic pluralism is more liberal than perennial philosophy at that... I'm more open to just core religious experiences.

I don't want to rant right now and I'm too tired but basically I believe 1) The Gods of the Greco-Roman faith do exist & there was a Golden Age 2) The gods of many faiths are largely various expressions of said deities 3) metaphysical theories & philosophies vary but it's OK.
