Tonight, faced with a choice between the politics of white resentment and the politics of pluralism, a majority of Americans chose pluralism. But the Senate stands, and will continue to stand, as an anti-democratic bastion of the old America that fears the new one.

That would be quite a sacrifice, presumably. I presume having a slew of narrow-minded neighbours makes for a crappy quality of life. Maybe all those ‘change the world’ billionaires can offer stipends to people who want to move (kidding, but only sort of).

No, the Senate numbers were just a bad hand this cycle. The GOP will lose the majority in the Senate in 2020, regardless of the DEM Presidential candidate. Trump was a perfect storm in 2016, never to be repeated. We will not get caught sleeping again.

Enough people on the left simply didn't vote again. We have more than enough to change things but not if they can't be bothered to register & vote. So everytime things get sh*tty again remember it's the fault of the people who couldn't be bothered.

I agree with this idea. NH was once redder than red. With new people coming along with new ideas, it gradually became blue and purple. It starts the conversations.
