It’s going to take creativity, outside the usual conversation, to address this. Perhaps we need a wave of patriots representing the rising new America to move to other states, diffusing the influence of the ascendant country. Perhaps the left needs to look again at federalism.

How the heck do small population states like North Dakota get as many Senators as California? There is no way the founding fathers could have anticipated such huge differences in state population.
