If the Bay Area were a country, it would be ranked 9th in the world for its billionaire population. There are also about 100 homeless San Franciscans for every billionaire, and, presumably, more than enough resources to go around.https://www.newyorker.com/tech/annals-of-technology/the-battle-of-the-big-tech-titans-over-san-franciscos-tax-for-the-homeless?mbid=social_twitter …

I’m not surprised at the heartlessness institutions have taken towards homeless, but I am shocked at first to see how far they keep taking it. It’s subtle but clearly directed. You can see it in architecture of even the most community embracing buildings.

Beautifully written, Anand, though I think you take the pox-on-both-their-mansions stance a bit too far: Benioff, after all, is advocating a tax on the rich, in the service of an indubitable public policy problem, whereas Dorsey is finding some excuse to avoid doing so.

They seem so numb..just to open up a soup kitchen...triage their needs and provide the direction needed to allow them to grow... Lost their hope and purpose. Give it back to them..doesn't cost much..

Don’t worry, for 4.95 a month my company has developed an app for the homeless to help find the warmest places to sleep according to wind chill and the ambient temperature
