We can make chorizo out of soy but we can’t stop climate change? Come on, people.

Sometimes I imagine a Global Innovation Priorities Department. A scientist walks up and proposes two ideas: her first is a way of avoiding the end of the planet; her second is a way of making chorizo from soy. Ooh, I love chorizo, let’s do that one, the Department official says.

Hopefully, all the carbon not emitted thanks to soyrizo will be enough!

Soyrizo is not the problem, meat is. Around 70 percent of the world's soy is fed directly to livestock, and only six percent of soy is turned into human food.

The nature (and uses) of chorizo is a very sensitive topic, I’d be more careful https://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/jamie-oliver-recipe-paella-chorizo-spain-controversy-a7346081.html …

If we can put people on the moon, surely we can find a way to capture solar-power better for solar-powered planes, trains, automobiles...who will fund some brilliant scientists toward these endeavors?!

Soyrizo is suuuuuper gross (but there are still plenty of plant-based things to eat that aren't sad meat fakery).
