Stop and think about this a moment. Not just because you may find it vile. Because it crystallizes a great divide in American life. When faced with a choice between the powerful and the vulnerable, whom do your reflexes send you rushing in to defend?https://twitter.com/PeterAlexander/status/1046731539831279616 …

It has eloquently been called a “basic brain-stem-level difference.”https://twitter.com/drvox/status/1044641863011987456?s=21 …

Basically, do you identify with those in power, who are trying to protect it? Or with those who have been denied power, who are trying to claim it? I'm beginning to think that basic brain-stem-level difference is at the root of many other disputes.

America’s litmus test today: Whom do you ache for? Women suffering assault? Or men accused of it? Minorities denied freedoms and now claiming them? Or white people threatened by their rise? Families separated on the border? Or natives who feel safer when others are separated?

Billionaires pledging to “change the world”? Or those forsaken by the economy the billionaires were happy enough to build, keep and milk?

As much as I'm prone to mock the self-brainwash of the gay community's "fluid dynamics," I totally agree with its acceptance of "nonbinary" as a valid epistemic choice.... The point being: All EITHER/OR maze routes lead to dead ends! (NO?) 😘

I read "Winners Take All" and I can not unsee the cynicism in the billionaire class, parroted in the aspirants to that class.
