What's tricky is writing report after report about empowering women while refusing to speak truth to power to your clients, many of whom are themselves or through associations that lobby on their behalf on the wrong side of this.

The woman in the photo isn't at risk of dropping out because she loves wearing that pink carrier so much. She's at risk of dropping out because our policies make it hard for parents to be parents and workers. You have leverage to get companies to stop defending those policies.

A core argument of
@winnerstakeall is that, when the winners take on social problems, they always ask what they can do. They never ask what they're already doing, and how to be better. First, examine your own complicity. Then go from there.Show this thread -

We need men’s liberation to coincide with women’s right. Equal pay and opportunity for all, regardless of gender. Boys need to be taught compassion and empathy. We need more stay-at-home Dads, make teachers, and mail nurses. We need to stop repressing male emotion.

@PRI_News@Fireynolds@LisaWoll_USSIF@CouncilInstInv Investors who say they're responsible could really help push companies. Of course these investors need to be sure they are acting in alignment and not being hypocritical. Any good practice case studies we can celebrate? Thanks. I agree w you and yet I'd acknowledge there is no single consensus silver bullet policy to cure this complex problem, so they'd end up making a subjective judgement call about their client's commitment in a broad sense on the issue vs. a specific policy litmus test
