Storytelling is how we humanize public policy. It's what saved the ACA. It's what did with Jeff Flake on that elevator. It's what brought us the original Progressive movement. More please.

35 new women will be sworn into the U.S. House of Representatives today, making this incoming class the most diverse by race and gender in the body’s 230-year history.⁣ ELLE captured 27 during their first week of Orientation.

25 years ago indigenous women helped lead the Zapatista uprising, inspiring the world with “the quiet dignity of their resistance, their unflinching commitment & their discipline infused with humor, militancy infused with tenderness.” 🙏🏽

As 2018 comes to a close, we remember all those who suffered as a result of the crisis. These are the “Letters from Family Separation": the stories of the mothers who were separated from their children, and their outstanding strength.

It's the anniversary of the GOP tax bill. The President called it “a bill for the middle class.” So how's it going? U.S. companies announced over $400bn in stock buybacks. The Dow is down 2000 points. GM is laying off 14,000 workers. And your pay raise was lost in the mail.

Anyone else find it ridiculous that Trump listens to Ann Coulter & Sean Hannity but not to Jim Mattis? That policy decisions get made by Fox News? That a temper tantrum from this prez means that 800,000 people don't get paid now?

The further a Republican member of Congress is from the border the more likely they are to support a wall.

A wall is a wall. Whether it’s $1.6 or $5 billion, we reject any more funding for the militarization of our borders and the attacks on immigrant communities!

Ok folks. I hear u on holding back on Flake. But here’s the thing. More $ for enforcement means more family separations & deaths @ border. The deal being discussed will result in 1+ billion for the wall. That $$ should go to schools & healthcare. Strong NO is how we hold!

Wow . I have no words for your consistent ability to raise hopes and disappoint. Yet again! You just switched you vote from NO to YES on Trump’s morally bankrupt budget with billions for a monument to xenophobia. Disappointing the American people will be your legacy

Trump's words: “I am proud to shut down the government.” In other words, he's “proud” to harm our economy and Americans' paychecks -- “proud” to cause hard-working families misery right before the holidays.

Typical of senator to simply give up her power again to follow ’s wishes. Senator , we’ve come to believe that you stand up to the bully-in-chief. Do you really want to fund his monument to xenophobia?

Sen . It’s me again! Today you have an opportunity yet again to call the country to its moral center by voting NO on a budget that includes $$$ for Trump’s wall, a monument to xenophobia. Listen to the voice inside that says “We are better than this” -
