    An Election Day thread to remind you that, contrary to his bluster and lies, is soft on crime, the governments in which he has served have brought the criminal justice system to its knees, and he is not proposing to do a single thing to fix it.

    Today, has again declared that he is going to be “tough on serious crime”. By which he means he will make prison sentences a bit longer. FWIW, I’d suggest that any politician who really cared about improving criminal justice might start with the following. [THREAD]

    I’m going to start today by telling you about a young person I met yesterday. Out campaigning in I met a 17-year-old. Like many of the young people I have met in recent weeks he was curious, had many questions, but ultimately seemed worried about the future (1/4)

    I think many of us would like a formal apology from for repeating hard right conspiracy theories as if they're fact. This is no different to the myths spread about Gay, Lesbian and By-sexual people in the past. We look upon that past with shame. The T in LGBT+ matters.

    We discussed gender self identification last night . It’s not “ these people “. It’s the fact a blanket law would allow any predatory man to self identify as female to gain access to women . That’s the danger.
