The difference between our ex-(Rep.) Governor and new (Dem.) Governor is encapsulated in the signs they chose to post at our border: "Open for Business" (Paul LePage) versus "Welcome Home" (Janet Mills). I'm proud today to call Maine my home, and to welcome others here.

48 days since self-proclaimed Senate institutionalist Susan Collins said she was "very concerned" about the Whitaker appointment. In the meantime she has cast the deciding vote on multiple Trump nominees.

I had to resort to the NYTimes Cookbook to find a recipe for steak and kidney pie. It was NOT in the Book of English Food; British Farmhouse Cooking, Vol. 1 OR 2; or Traditional British cooking. I feel I should report this to the authorities...but which ones?

This is a horrible practice. BUY LOCAL--especially when it comes to bookstores. Most of them are more than bookstores; they are community centers as important to a town or city's well being as libraries.

Do you think ever reads her Twitter feed? She has 480k followers, and 99% of the comments to EVERYTHING she posts are variations of "Resign!" "Traitor!" or "Sit down and shut up."

Collins didn't just say McConnell pledged to *support* health "fix" bills. She said she had an airtight guarantee they'd pass into *law.* Never happened & she voted for the tax bill anyway. Upshot is millions fewer Americans insured, much higher costs for rest of us.

Collins still pushing lie that this vote was a referendum on . Doubling down on this nonsense suggests she's anxious re: how Maine sees Kav.

Remember when Sen. Collins voted for the Trump tax law and claimed Republicans would pass health fix bills later? They didn't.

So sad to hear that Bob ("Bert & I") Bryan has died. He was my introduction to Maine, and as a child I memorized all his routines. Can still do many of them. Go ahead, ask me.

The Poliquin decision had this interesting quote from a 1964 case Reynolds v Sims. So why is gerrymandering legal?

Highly recommended: no matter how much time has passed, let your teachers know how much you appreciate them & the difference they made in your life...and you never know what they might share in return :)

I misread a tweet that described the "Republican-controlled Congress" as "Russian-controlled Congress." Can't some clever graphics person write an app that morphs "Republican" into "Russian" in every tweet or news story? Like they did with "Trump" and "Drumpf"?
