National Journal did this with layoffs about a decade ago. There is never a good way to lay people off, but this has got to be one of the worst and most unsettling ways to do it.

Good piece on why environmental groups are split in big fight over power-line to bring Canadian hydro to replace New England gas power. A reminder that power-lines often get as much local opposition as the pipelines that get national headlines.

This article really resonates with me and I'm sure it does to many other women who have similarly dealt with inappropriate behavior by men in professional settings. Worth a read.
