    Taylor won't say it so i will: her reporting made an impact. good reporters today would ask themselves "what is a metric for my success, is it page views? is it impact?" this is what impact looks like. it's immeasurable yet clear as day.

    But beside our story, I got to meet many other wonderful people and go to the convention ***FOR FREE*** For lots of folks, Voices is the first time they've ever been involved with so apply! Very nostalgic and jealous of the next class.

    Some of my journalism idols RT'd and shared our story which was very very cool. There was also late evenings I spent with my teammates including these messages which will always be hilarious to only me.

    Last year with truly stellar mentors and , we produced this story, which prompted huge discussion about prestige, the importance of internships in this industry and the difficulties of getting one in the first place.

    This is like when my roommate's chicken escaped the yard during the tornado last week and someone on NextDoor reported it.

    do your thing. NORTH ASHEVILLE Is this your chicken? It just walked into our office at 530 Merrimon to ask about fighting corruption, fighting for healthcare, and not nibbling around the edges of inequity like a chicken. I'm serious tho I have your chicken

    BREAKING: After over 11 hours, the CRB voted against CMPD’s decision for the second time in its 23-year history. The vote was unanimous 7-0.

    I’m here this morning at the Citizens Review Boards hearing concerning the fatal shooting of Danquirs Franklin by CMPD officers. Neither Officer Kerl nor Officer Deal are here to testify.
