Dear god, the sad cases responding to this. Imagine, after years of campaigning and hard work, Irish feminists have repealed Draconian anti-abortion laws, and instead of celebrating that, you think chiming in with transphobic bigotry is more important? Priorities, eh?

This is an incredible, historic moment for Ireland and for reproductive rights. I got out and voted for repeal, as did every trans and non-binary person I know, we campaigned long and hard, spoke to friends and family. Because bodily autonomy is important.

And if your first thought isn't "wow, congratulations on such a historic victory for reproductive rights!" but instead snipe about inclusive language so you can signal that you hate trans people? You should be ashamed of yourselves, because that is just a disgusting display.

By the way, repealers remember just how vile UK transphobes were in the run up to the referendum. Irish feminists put up with dogs abuse from that little hate mob in the run up to the referendum.

Sure when I get a list of all the pregnant folks in Ireland I'll hand it over *eyeroll*. It wouldn't be inclusive. Irish feminism has a strong history of being trans inclusive. What's wrong with that?

You offered *eye roll* Not saying there is anything wrong with that. Anyone who is pregnant should have full access to those rights. We can have a different view on this and still agree on that

So what's wrong with Amnesty being trans inclusive? I don't actually have a list of names for internet strangers. Did you actually think I would? That's just weird. And not GDPR compliant.

If there's nothing wrong with Amnesty using trans inclusive wording, then why do you object? Reproductive rights and trans rights are both fundamentally about the right to bodily autonomy and self determination. Shared goals

I have concerns about the language because I think there are repercussions for women's equality and voices. And, I think there should be more debate and discussion, as it is very complex - but, it feels like any kind of difference of opinion on this issue is not permitted

Yet when that wording is used, I feel excluded, not included. If we are concerned about making language inclusionary, that has to be taken account of. Trans-men didn't like 'pregnant women' so it was changed but now why ignore women's feelings of exclusion over 'pregnant people'?

Actually, you are excluding yourself from people if you exclude yourself from people who can get pregnant. Women are not people then, apparently

Guess we're hearing it here first from Scottish Jenbel. TERFs do not identify as people! Which goes some ways towards explaining their bigotry and cruelty.
