When you consider that all that needs to be done to make this happen is replacement/deletion of probably 5 words on a standard government form that a trained/knowledgable consultant can then sign, it becomes even harder to understand any delay. ‘Start editor...edit..save...’

This has gone on too long. Review was started over 7 months ago & zero action. Frustration of the community is beyond description. you now need simply to give a precise mile stone plan with firm due date. Time for debate is over.

MicroRNAs help to control genes. One, miR-218, is abundant in motor neurons but reduced in . People with less effective variants of miR-218 are also prone to ALS. One gene it controls is for a potassium channel important for motor neuron activity

It’s 6 months since a review into how terminally ill people access benefits was announced, but it’s still not happened. Since then more than 1,000 have died from MND. I'm backing to speed up benefits access. (pic 2017)

Really good to hear this is a priority for Government. We need to see changes made urgently. So wrong that people with have to fight for their benefits. I look forward to discussing this with you later this month, including how people with MND can be involved in the review.
