I believe Americans have become very jaded about advertising and are buying less because they see through the marketing spin that bombards them daily. Much less impulse buying and “upgrade” functional object replacement.

Paradox of thrift?...who knows, maybe there are more people nowadays who don’t want to die broke...need a “behavioral economist” to provide a nudge...

Let's hope people are working and saving again. I get so sick of the Bankers and Wall Street types. I don't give a damn whether or not we get a 30K Dow this year! I want to build things and grow tangible wealth.
