Subcategory: Financial journalists who have never studied accounting, corporate finance, portfolio theory, micro or macroeconomics (unless Marxist), etc. Science journalists?
Honestly, a willingness to learn matters more than guild credentials for good journalism. I.e. accounting matters, but not whether you have the degree.
