What about 25% top marginal rate on income tax -- Coolidge level? Talk of reduction to 37% is tame. Does GOP hate professionals? Each percentage point party drops marginal rate, $80 to $110bn, replies "not so much." 30% top rate is closer to Coolidge level. Someone has to say it.

Yes, would love this, but we don't have a CC-sized budget AND no one is making the case for one either. It's the opposite of CC to spend a trillion or two more financed with bonds my kids will pay off.

When senators like Bob Corker insist only on tax increases, not expenditure decreases, as means to reign in a potential deficit, it is proof that republicans have forgotten what they should stand for.

The Republican President won by promising to build a wall, to drastically expand our military and nuclear capabilities and giving everyone wonderful cheap health care while CUTTING taxes. And Corker is the problem? LOL.
