Further on #MMT -- economic theories are often crafted as windowdressing for political display. Keynesianism, MMT, and tariff. How many jobs does a tariff save? Fewer than you think. how many votes does tariff get? More than it deserves.

In another thread, someone was claiming Supply Side Economics was disproven because jobs were not being created following the 2017 tax reforms. Was a headscratcher.

How would you address the disparity of labor costs if not with a tariff? Assume the US continues to have a govt mandated cost of labor to include protection laws, min wages, unions, benefits, etc and China continues to not have any - what’s the economic solution?
