TBF Dymally was “The Man” along w/ Willie Brown for a lot of years in CA. What a blight on CA, for which they’re still paying a price. Decades later his name is like nails on a chalkboard. Last time my mom worked as a cop was LASO during the riots.

Amity, these scenes make me feel like I’m reliving the sixties, same talk, same anger, same regression. I think of Moynihan and his observations at the time. The disintegration of family was devastating then, it’s devastating now.
