I remember it but was a bit too young to understand what was really going on and why, I look forward to reading “the Great Society”.

Thanks for helping me remember what I thought I’d forgot about the 60’s.

1960’s riots were actual spontaneous outpourings of grief and rage when MLK was assassinated. Currently we have staged lawlessness.

I read this book with admiration (as I did Forgotten Man and Coolidge). My take-away was that it showed how not to re-create society more than it showed how not to manage a riot.

Isn’t that the truth! Virtually every discussion hearkens to the Great Society. People, if you haven’t read this book, please do so.
