awww; we can't know the moment, we just have to offer up the evidence and hope. a real problem is high school textbooks; too biased.

High school history has become a “history of government” course. The New Deal, being a ton of government programs, is presented as the pinnacle of government and what “saved” the country (and often incorrectly presents Hoover as a laissez-faire leader too stuck on principles).
