Great Society is a brilliant book— and should be required reading for every member of Congress regardless of Party. I am nearly finished with it. A tremendous piece of history, and a reminder of how good intentions, when translated to federal policy, go so badly awry.
Great Society is honored to appear on the Sunday Special tomorrow with Ben Shapiro. Why we care: today we think govt can do anything--make us safe. In the early 1960s, we thought that, too.

It’s a great book. Excellent work. Parallels are striking. Highly recommended! It does cause grief to read as one wonders what we would look like today had we not applied big government solutions to fix a good economy, rising SAT scores and more intact families and communities.
