I remember him well. Some people hated him as a bully in his AG role. OTOH, some viewed him as having great charisma — short of JFK, but still significant, as opposed to Teddy.

RFK was a charmer. But also: RFK was such a bully, you can see why Johnson treated his AG like a brown recluse spider. ("Get this fellow OUT of my sock!, J. Edgar, help me!").

Yeah — and the nepotism exacerbated the perception of him as a bully, which was probably justified. It was like he was just flipping his critics off and daring them to call him on it.
