Joe Kennedy said that Bob was the son most like him. In Ralph Martin's Seeds of Destruction: Joe Kennedy and His Sons, Bob struck me as someone who today might be considered "on the spectrum." A real oddball. Would agree that he was very limited in the "likability" category.

I remember him well. Some people hated him as a bully in his AG role. OTOH, some viewed him as having great charisma — short of JFK, but still significant, as opposed to Teddy.

RFK was a charmer. But also: RFK was such a bully, you can see why Johnson treated his AG like a brown recluse spider. ("Get this fellow OUT of my sock!, J. Edgar, help me!").
