Except for those who confuse "math" based on horrible models as "reason." Reason also requires critical thinking. Some people I previously saw as "smart" have failed in all regards.

Reason doesn't hurt, but toddlers and adults with Down Syndrome, diminished capacity, etc. who aren't capable of reason still love fear away or have their fear removed by love. "Perfect love cast out fear." Both are good, but "we know in part," and "the greatest is love."
