After WWI wartime socialism, in peacetime we course corrected by electing President Coolidge. When all this is over, many will argue for a continuation of emergency powers indefinitely. We will NEED another Coolidge.

Because of liking that book I went and read "The Forgotten Man: A New History of the Great Depression" afterwards. Your work and Thomas Sowell have been a big influence on me in rethinking that era.
