not sure I follow. Is your point that Ford stifled entrepreneurs? I’m sure this is the cae as both Shelby and Ken Miles had no use for the corporate suits. However, to give credit where credit due, Ford engineers did design that car and race it in ‘65
The film Ford v Ferrari tells the story of the cumbersome Ford, and how it stifled entrepreneurs, in this case a race car team. The film rings true (albeit loudly, so many times around the course at Le Mans).

through racing it, they broke everything that Miles and Shelby improved on in ‘66. If Shelby had not developed the GT350 and proved it, I doubt Henry Ford would have risked his reputation on Shelby. Ford was different then, as Shelby himself said.
