One has to be careful about this two-sided history depts you want; next thing we may want two sided biology depts with the same space for creationism. I think historians are doing fine in determining what is good history; peer review works

There’s absolutely no benefit for colleges to shutter history departments. None. Students increasingly lack any basic history knowledge. Your idea would make the problem far worse.
