I had a terrific conversation with Lewis a few years ago, and also heard him lecture. Lovely gentleman. He wrote a massive two volume bio of W.E.B. DuBois - and won Pulitzers for both. Inspiring to see that, at 82, he is still delivering interesting and important history.
