Morris’ blunder is especially awful considering his level of access for this biography and his success with other biographies.

RR was plenty deep! But biographer E Morris didn't get that depth entirely because M panicked; sections of the book obscure facts about Reagan, they are so writerly. TR book much better. You can see why the Reagans picked Morris. In TR book, EM writes with all five senses.
