    This is very interesting. But the Russian immigrants in Tel Aviv and the US didn't entirely copy "Dallas" (rent seekers, rent protectors, oil men)-- they also innovated.

    --- Tom Hayden come to life again.. Researching Great Society, discovered 1960s student/activists didn't all materialize from nowhere; many were funded (Hayden, early) by the United Auto Workers. The union fell for Hayden type charm and was appalled by what it begat.
