    This graphic shows Saudi Air Defences around the Abqaiq oil facilities that were struck early Saturday. The drones were well within PAC-2 range, but outside Hawk range. It's possible that the low-flying or the drones' small size and composite materials helped it avoid detection.pic.twitter.com/AiMJ0LZT27

        The PAC-2 is mainly an anti-aircraft system with secondary ABM capability but drones are still smaller than fighter aircraft. The Saudis have Hawk and Shahine (Crotale) SAMs better suited for engaging drones, but they aren't deployed at Abqaiq.

        The real reason is of course that the houthi had infiltrators and fired them from inside KSA territory but since everyone wants the drones to have come from Iran we must do this little pretending game.
