Cost of untreated mental health to America is over $100 BILLION dollars including unemployment, unnecessary disability and substance abuse.
I really reacted to "unnecessary disability." Is there another word that better covers the concept? Maybe preventable?

If you’re on disability due to untreated mental health issues, “unnecessary“ implies you don’t need that support.

So while it may be the words of the source, it’s a pretty shitty message. “Preventable” still provides support.
