1/5 A delegation of Taliban Political Commission (TPC), headed by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, called on the Prime Minister today. The discussions focused on the progress in the Afghan peace process and the way forward.
2/5 Reiterating that there was no military solution to the conflict in Afghanistan, the PM underlined that Intra-Afghan Negotiations provided a historic opportunity to Afghan leaders for achieving durable peace and stability through an Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace process.
3/5 The Prime Minister expressed hope that the Afghan parties would continue to build on the recent positive developments in the Intra-Afghan Negotiations. The PM underscored Pakistan’s consistent support to an inclusive, broad-based and comprehensive political settlement.
4/5 He also underlined the need to be vigilant about the role of spoilers, who continue to make attempts to disrupt the peace process. The Prime Minister expressed concern over the high level of violence and called on all sides for reduction in violence leading to ceasefire.
5/5 The Prime Minister highlighted that return of peace and stability in Afghanistan would provide a strong impetus to economic development, regional integration, and connectivity, benefitting Afghanistan and the region.

You guys have watched/contributed to messed up Afghanistan for last 40 years, why don't you check out the peaceful AFG for the next few years, I strongly believe peaceful AFG is much more beneficial for Pak and the region, so we hope your sincere efforts in Afg peace
This is what for these meetings have been called, it is in the highest interest of Pakistan to have stable and peaceful Afghanistan because our peace is linked with Afghanistan and it can't be denied at any cost. In the near future, we see Afghanistan as an opportunity for trade.
