Automatic weapons are already regulated by the National Firearms Act. Action on semiautomatic weapons requires legislation Biden doesn’t have the votes for (and SCOTUS would possibly strike down based on Heller).
That is unfortunately true. Last night I heard 40+ rounds originating just 30 yards from my front door. Children are shooting children with automatic weapons. The supply side needs to be shut down.

The level of ignorance around firearms you have to have to think banning a stabilizing brace will do anything to curb any amount of gun violence or magically make a firearm less lethal is astounding.
It will make it marginally harder to effectively wield two firearms at the same time. It may make some guns harder to use by an untrained person. That's not much, but it may save a few lives.
